On Monday, January 8th, 2018, one of Britain's most prominent conservative debaters, Peter Hitchens, spoke at the Free Press Association. Hitchens believes that Christianity has lost the battle to be the foundation for European democracies, instead having left the cultural battle to the EU's euro communism, which he, amongst other things, has described in his books "The abolition of Britain" and "The rage against God".

It was the first time Hitchens had visited Denmark, and the subject of his presentation at the Free Press Association’s event was "God, freedom and Europe's gloomy future". Hitchens assured the many assembled that he would not be indulging in bright future dream scenarios, promising instead 'an evening of unrelenting pessimism' - a promise he kept in his well-articulated presentation.

Despite the dystopian subject, the venue was filled to capacity.
